Fuengirola sigue celebrando la Semana Europea de la Movilidad, que comenzó el 16 de septiembre. Mañana, para conmemorar el Día Mundial Sin Coche, la concejala de Movilidad de la ciudad costera andaluza, Isabel González, invita a los vecinos a dejar los coches aparcados y coger el autobús en su lugar y darle al medio ambiente una pausa de la contaminación. Aquellos que optan por el transporte público, sin embargo, también se les recuerda llevar una mascarilla debido a la importancia continua de las medidas de protección.
El 22 de septiembre es también el último día de la Semana Europea de la Movilidad y qué mejor manera de despedirla explorando varios modos alternativos de transporte que reducirán la congestión del tráfico en las calles. Naturalmente, también se alienta a los residentes a andar en bicicleta o simplemente caminar hasta donde necesiten llegar.
“Fuengirola se ha sumado a la Semana Europea de la Movilidad para fomentar el uso de la bicicleta y de todo aquel vehículo o medio de transporte que facilite la reducción de la contaminación medioambiental”, ha dicho la concejala González, añadiendo que “dentro de esta iniciativa mañana es el Día sin coches y por tal motivo el autobús urbano será gratuito durante todo el día para incitar a que los fuengiroleños dejen el coche en casa y favorecer el uso del transporte público así como de medios de transporte individuales como la bicicleta o el patinete”.
Con motivo de la Semana Europea de la Movilidad, las empresas de alquiler de bicicletas de Fuengirola ofrecieron grandes descuentos a quienes deseaban alquilar una bicicleta o un patinete.
Hay más en oferta para los residentes conscientes de la importancia de la movilidad sostenible. “Dentro de la Semana de la Movilidad hoy se celebra en la Casa de la Cultura una charla sobre seguridad vial impartida por Policía Local y el Club MTB del Sur donde se ofrecen pautas y consejos para aprender a circular de forma segura por la ciudad ya sea en bici, patinete o cualquier vehículo de movilidad personal”, explicó Isabel González.
