La medida pretende ser una respuesta al aumento del costo de vida
A partir del 1 de mayo, la Generalitat Valenciana anunció que los pasajeros pueden viajar gratis todos los domingos en algunas de las redes de transporte público de Valencia, Alicante y Castellón. La medida busca incentivar el uso del transporte público en las principales ciudades de la región y paliar los efectos negativos de la inflación que se vive de forma generalizada.
La prestación gratuita del servicio estará disponible durante los próximos tres meses, es decir, hasta el 31 de julio. Las redes de transporte público en cuestión son Metrovalencia, TRAM d'Alacant y TRAM Castelló.
Otros sistemas de tránsito regionales tendrán precios de billetes reducidos
La Generalitat Valenciana ha puesto en marcha un Plan Reactivo especial con el objetivo de mitigar la subida de los precios de la energía que afecta directamente a la vida de los vecinos.
La consejera de Política Territorial, Obras Públicas y Movilidad, Arcadi España, ha indicado que “se calcula que alrededor de 113.500 personas se podrán beneficiar de esta iniciativa ya que los domingos unas 110.000 personas hacen uso de los servicios que ofrece Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV) en Alicante y València, y sobre las 3.500 viajan en el TRAM de Castelló.”
Ha agregado que la FGV y la Autoridad del Transporte Metropolitano de Valencia (ATMV) han reducido hasta un 50% las tarifas y la integración tarifaria se ha hecho realidad gracias a los nuevos billetes integrados SUMA. Esto también irá acompañado de una reducción de precios de hasta un 50% en el TRAM d'Alacant, gracias a la simplificación de zonas que entrará en vigor en verano.
Los domingos, los viajeros de Metrovalencia y TRAM d'Alacant accederán por el sistema de puertas abiertas y se apagarán los validadores para que nadie pague por error. Se podrá viajar desde el inicio del servicio por la mañana, hasta el final del horario de servicio ordinario del día.
