The Bulgarian city of Vidin will host the first edition of the international "Blue Danube" folklore festival, which will bring together performers hailing from the countries along the banks of the river. The event is expected to attract a multitude of lovers of authentic music and crafts in a single place.

The festival will be held over the course of three days - 4, 5 and 6 September 2020 in the Danube Park of Vidin. The festival is organized by Vidin Municipality and Event Masters.

United by the love of folklore

During the festival days, residents and guests of the Danube city will be able to enjoy both Bulgarian folklore, presented by the Thracian orchestra "Orpheus" and Georgi Yanev, young performers Iva and Velislava Kostadinovi, Vidin ensemble "Danube" and the ensemble "Masters of dance" as well as performances of foreign folk groups.

The mission of the organizers is to make the IFF “Blue Danube” an annual cultural event of international scale and national significance, which will help preserve the country's national image through folklore. In its entirety, the festival will combine a unique concert program and folk games, creative workshops for both the young and the old, as well as exhibition areas and numerous activities.
