Las autoridades de Donostia-San Sebastián informaron hoy que cualquier persona es bienvenida a visitar sus oficinas, o al menos el edificio donde están ubicadas. El emblemático edificio de la Casa Consistorial local se puede ver desde el interior simplemente consultando el recorrido virtual en el sitio web municipal.
Los visitantes virtuales podrán pasear por los magníficos pasillos y salas del edificio en cualquier plataforma electrónica. Además del placer estético de ver las decisiones arquitectónicas del estilo ecléctico del diseño de interiores, los espectadores también pueden hacer clic en los puntos indicados y encontrar más información sobre los diferentes espacios que están observando.
El edificio es bastante notable porque fue concebido inicialmente como un casino. Inaugurado en 1887, acogió a los aficionados a los juegos de la ciudad y a las élites locales hasta 1924, cuando se prohibieron los juegos de azar. Más tarde se utilizó como Centro de Atracción y Turismo antes de convertirse finalmente en la sede del gobierno local en 1945.
A juzgar por los hechos anteriores y sus ostentosos interiores, es seguro decir que se trata de un edificio que puede considerarse un verdadero tesoro arquitectónico. Por ello, Jon Insausti, Consejero de Cultura de San Sebastián, ha afirmado que la nueva herramienta online permite “tanto a los y las donostiarras como a cualquier otra persona en cualquier parte del mundo de conocer, de la manera más cómoda posible, uno de los edificios más emblemáticos y cargados de historia de nuestra ciudad”.
Los turistas online pueden obtener vistas de 360 grados del impresionante Salón del Pleno, el Salón de Recepción y el Balcón de Alderdieder, entre otros. La experiencia fue posible gracias a Hiruditek, firma especializada en este tipo de aplicaciones 3D y recorridos virtuales que tienen como objetivo dar sentido a las texturas de un espacio físico.
