Mayors

Jānis Vilnītis was born in Liepāja in 1969. He has graduated from the Lativa University of Life Sciences and Technologies with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering Sciences, engineer – mechanic. He has served in the Liepāja city council and is a member of the board of “First Labels” Ltd. He is also member of the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Mayor of Liepāja is Uldis Sesks. He was born in Liepāja in 1962. He studied at Liepaja school № 6. Sesks graduated from the Latvian Academy of Agriculture in Jelgava with a degree in mechanical engineering. Before becoming a mayor, Mr. Sesks was a racer and businessman. In 1997, Sesks was elected the mayor of the Liepaja and reelected to this position in since then.
